Underwhelming draft, grade C
like DaShawn Hand 6'4" 297 DE or DT
RB rnd 2 is only 12 lb bigger than AA
C in the first rnd a little shaky but maybe very smart

I meant given the spots the Lions picked, what players did you like more than the ones actually picked?

Many compare him to Leveon Bell. www.seccountry.com/auburn/auburn-football-kerryon-johnson-leveon-bell-comparison

Sheesh! Patricia accused of sexual assault 20 years ago (I know there was no trial but it doesn’t sound good, IMO) and MSU 3 football players raping a girl last year and MSU about to get the death penalty for top administrators hiding a serial rapist (seriously, an old lady president saying “fine with me as long as we can keep it to ourselves). I want to puke. How come it comes up now with Patricia? This is a circus from hell.

I believe it is some Detroit News reporters that dug the Patricia story up and are obsessed with not letting it die.

Lions will play a lot of 3-4 this year. Mostly cause they don't have 2 primo DTs

2018 season - So this is Bob Quinn's 3rd season, second draft. It looks like Martha is demanding better results. And maybe meddling a little too much. Bob has been investing in the offense to better improve their fairly good QB, Matt Stafford. Not a bad idea but the Lions might still be soft up the middle. Last season the Lions lost Haloti Ngata to injury half-way through the season. They were giving up 75 yd per game rushing before the injury. They gave up 130 yd per game after. That's at least 4 more 1st downs and maybe 3 minutes of time of possession ! And he wasn't replaced. The draft gave us a 4th rounder named Hand but will he be ready ? It's pretty sure the new coach from the Pat's org. will install a 3-4 maybe the Lions first attempt at this defense. Only a couple teams still run the 4-3. I think Quinn's done a good job up til now with FA like Marvin Jones and Blount. Matt Patricia has to win now. Or maybe blow our socks off with a #1 offense or defense---no excuses ! ------------------------------------------------------- I'm thinking Stafford is what he is, a P/O quality QB with no P/O wins. Good enough to get you there but not good enough to best other P/O teams. NO EXCUSES !

8-8 {Spoiler} Actually I think the passing game can hang with most. The running game should make top 25 at least on 3rd and 2 And that's not asking a lot. Up from 30 or so. Secondary shouldn't get punked maybe the strongest unit. LB's, Davis needs help everywhere. FAs were added but not with outstanding speed. The 3-4 which should be 50-60% of all D snaps may be the most we've every seen. You don't see the investment there. Mostly mirrors. But if anyone knows how to teach it, it's MattPat.

6 sacks. Was that more about Garoppolo holding onto the ball too long, or the Lions defense? Or both?

I think the Jets are just as bad as the 49ers. The Jets lost to Miami at home yesterday.

Lions go to 4 down linemen and beat Pats. Pats usually start slow so I wouldn't read much into this win. Pats D is soft too. Which helped our run blockers get a 100 yd effort from a RB for the first time in 73 games. We need to stop Zeke EL. in Dallas next.
