Men's Draw:Nadal's Quarter:Bautista Agut vs. Thiem 3rd round: This could be one of the best matches of the tourney. Thiem in 5. Querrey vs. Anderson 3rd round: Anderson has earned the benefit. Anderson in 4. Mischa Zverev is also in this section. Anderson vs. Nadal QF: Nadal in 3. Del Potro's Quarter:Wawrinka vs. Dmitrov 1st round: Wawrinka in 4. Isner vs. Del Potro QF: Isner, because I'm rooting for him. Isner in 4. Alexander Zverev's Quarter:Cilic vs. Zverev QF: Cilic in 4. Federer's Quarter:Djokovic vs. Federer QF: Federer hasn't beaten Djokovic at a major in a long time. He has a chance, but Djokovic in 4 is more likely. Nadal vs. Isner SF: Nadal in 4. Cilic vs. Djokovic SF: Cilic has to beat Djokovic at some point again. Hopefully he does it this time. I'll take Djokovic in 3. Nadal vs. Djokovic Finals: Nadal in 3. They rarely have straight sets matches, so this would be unusual. Women's Draw:Halep's Quarter:Serena vs. Venus 3rd round: Venus in 2. Halep vs. Pliskova QF: I keep hoping for a Pliskova run. She hasn't made another big one. Halep in 2. Stephen's Quarter:Stephens to the SF. Kerber's Quarter: Kerber to the SF. Wozniacki's Quarter:Wozniacki to the SF. Osaka is my under the radar pick, if not Wozniacki. Halep vs. Stephens SF: Halep in 2. Kerber vs Wozniacki SF: Wozniacki in 3. Halep vs. Wozniacki Finals: Tough call, but Wozniacki in 3.

Venus vs Serena in the 3rd round. How unfortunate. I'm just glad they're meeting. Any chance to see them match up in a major is cool.

I would like to see Venus win, partially because she hasn't beaten Serena at a major in a long time. But if she wins, then I want her to win the title.
I have been rooting for Venus to win the Australian Open or French Open since the mid 2000s. I just like seeing winners win on different surfaces, so I wanted to see her win something than what she's already won.
I'll root for Serena in certain matchups, but other times, I want to see someone new win too.

I have never seen anything like that before.
At best, he could have just asked if Krygios was hurt, without stepping down.
I didn't see how Krygios was playing, though. I wish someone would upload something which shows how he was playing before the umpire came down.
I'm not sure if it really affected the match, because from everything I've seen and read, Herbert started double faulting a lot.

And, my champion Wozniacki is out in the 2nd round.

Serena killed Venus 6-1, 6-2

Are you rooting for anyone? I haven't paid a whole lot of attention to it. I supposed I will root for the American women.

I've liked this tourney. The matchups have been intriguing, on paper.
Even if they haven't lived up to it (Venus vs. Serena), at least there's been something to look forward to, every day.
Usually the USO is my least favorite major, because I think it has the most blowout matches.
Nadal vs. Kachanov was great today.
Too bad Wawrinka last to Raonic.
At least it makes it easy for me to root for Isner vs. Ranoic in the 4th round.
If it were Isner vs. Wawrinka, I wouldn't have wanted either to lose.

I want to see Serena win another French Open, because that requires the most stamina. I don't care as much about the other majors, because I already know she can do it.

The umpire was way out of line. He should not talk to a player for that long. It looks like he was giving the guy a pep talk. I feel bad for the guy that lost that match.

Agree.
At worst, he should have just asked from his chair, "are you hurt?"
He shouldn't have gotten down.
Also, an umpire is never allowed to leave the court. (I'm just showing an example of how strict the umpire rules are). If a match is 5 hours, they have to be in the chair for 5 hours.
I looked through this rules PDF, and couldn't find that exact wording. But I've heard broadcasters say it so many times over the years, that it must be true.
So if an umpire can't even leave the court, then he shouldn't get down from his chair, unless he's checking a mark (like on clay).

Cilic wins 7 - 5 in the 5th. He admits the crowd was pulling for De Minaur.
