Good win by the Lions over the Bears. They were behind all game but got a nice strip and fumble by Okara and scored more than 31 for the first time this yr. Staff made some nice throws to keep them in the game. |

That last part almost reminds me of the the Raiders from a few years ago, when their best player was their kicker, Janikowski.
So, it sounds like the Lions need to improve the front 7 on defense?

First read, Rams gain small financial windfall. Maybe less than $12M over 2 yr. Then someone said "Contract value is $123M" ! He was owed $43M guaranteed. But that was over 2 years. But his salary was $26M per. Does the trade kick in the guaranteed $43M ? Total $69M over 2 yr ! So that's trade value ?! So Rams are only on the hook for ~ $44M over 2 years. Why would they put so much on top ? And now they are talking $37M for Dak P. -----INFLATIONARY----- |

If it were me, I'm not a fan of signing bonuses. They are taxed higher.
I would rather have the same value spread out across the contract.

I know the story is about inflation and the NFL and all major league sports.
They are inflating at the millions rate ! That's out of the normal rate. Not the $one hundred thousand rate say for a bio-chemist.
Or the people that kicked the Covid virus' ass.
