Good win by the Lions over the Bears. They were behind all game but got a nice strip and fumble by Okara and scored more than 31 for the first time this yr. Staff made some nice throws to keep them in the game.

So, what are your thoughts on the Lions season now?
And are you going to do playoffs predictions?

I'm sure they'll find away to F' it up. They have a lot of good parts. They should sell Stafford. Maybe get some picks.

What's the best thing they do/have?

RB, WR, fair secondary, kicker, punter

That last part almost reminds me of the the Raiders from a few years ago, when their best player was their kicker, Janikowski.
So, it sounds like the Lions need to improve the front 7 on defense?

Very much so. That's one of the more proven ways to get well. Top picks on the Dline.

So do what the Washington Football Team did, and draft a bunch of Dlines.

Partially un/accurate : -
First read, Rams gain small financial windfall. Maybe less than $12M over 2 yr. Then someone said "Contract value is $123M" ! He was owed $43M guaranteed. But that was over 2 years. But his salary was $26M per. Does the trade kick in the guaranteed $43M ? Total $69M over 2 yr ! So that's trade value ?! So Rams are only on the hook for ~ $44M over 2 years. Why would they put so much on top ? And now they are talking $37M for Dak P. -----INFLATIONARY-----

If it were me, I'm not a fan of signing bonuses. They are taxed higher.
I would rather have the same value spread out across the contract.

Think of Max Scherzer's baseball contract. Based in some kind of money market.

Yesterday on the radio, they had a segment "My team will make the playoffs if . . ."
A Lions fans said "if Jared Goff makes comeback player of the year."

I know the story is about inflation and the NFL and all major league sports. They are inflating at the millions rate ! That's out of the normal rate. Not the $one hundred thousand rate say for a bio-chemist. Or the people that kicked the Covid virus' ass.

Whose contracts do you think are the most inflated?
