I've heard of that. Great idea but don't some people ruin it by taking to long to pick? Or is there a click and they fet someone automatically. Anyhow, I would be happy to try it or stay like we are. Does your system prevent a corrupt Commissioner from cheating? Guy that runs this league is a former Marine and one of my favorite co-workers. Completely straightforward. No way he'd try to cheat anyone.

That sounds fun. Is there some cash involved or just bragging rights? No cash. The CEO, CFO, VP, and president are in the league. The rest of us can't afford the stakes they'd want to play. Not sure if they have a separate pool on the side. Might inquire about that. There's a trophy in the project manager's area your name gets put on for 1st place. You should ask what a person gets for second place. :-) I was kidding about the corruption aspect. I just wanted to make fun of Bill. Usually I just wait for him to say something stupid but I thought I would be proactive for a change.

If you want to get provocative, you should head to the Green Room....

It is too bad that our commissioner is illiterate or he would go to the green room and look at the comment I left for him in the book thread yesterday.

an offline draft would accomplish the same thing, with a chat room.

Does anyone know why Bill Laimbeer left this forum? All I know is that he sent a cryptic message to me:
"Drath,, I need to leave the new Pistons forum as I've been convicted of embezzlement and need to do 10 years in prison. (It could be paroled after 4 years for good behavior but lets not kid ourselves . Figures, huh? Please tell the administratior that I want him to delete all my messages and data. I fear that someone has stolen my identity so do not let anyone disguised as me ever becone s member. And ruin my (fairly) good name. If I ever change my mind I will *grovel on my hands and knees to you* go through you. I apologize for all the mean things I ever said about you. I was just really jealous and I admitre you greatly. Signed Bill. P.S. I can still run fantasy football from my prison cell"
A pity but no surprise. I can prove this leter is authentic because he called me "Drath".

What's the difference? You use your waiver priority wisely or you use your cash wisely. Seems like it just makes things more complicated. If I'm going 9th in the draft I would like to at least get first crack at a difference maker.

One of the consolations for drafting late is getting an earlier waiver claim.

Did you read the article Darth?
Would mean everyone gets a fair crack at every free agent - not all free agents are created equal. Makes waivers more interesting and fun. Introduces more strategy into fantasy football It's like having a mini-auction draft every week. Everyone knows the draft is the best thing about fantasy.
Example. If DeMarco Murray went down for the season, Derrick Henry would start a bidding war where everyone has a chance to get him. You just have to decide: A. how much of your budget you are willing to spend. B. how much money you think other managers will spend in order to out-bid them.

The best draft position is matter of opinion. It changes year to year. Last year nobody wanted to draft 6-8.
The current waiver system discourages people from making claims in order to keep their priority. That's a bit boring. This system encourages more participation and makes things more fun and interesting.
