I had a dream last night that BillLaimbeer and I were matching up in a head to head basketball league. I had 46 blocks to his 13. We were tied in our matchup, but he was winning the tiebreaker. He had a better FG% than me. I needed to get a few shots off to see if I could pass his FG%. But then he physically sat on me, as the time for the week was ending, and that prevented me from launching shots. He sat on me for at least half an hour. I guess even though this was a fantasy league, maybe the only ones that could actually collect stats were he and I? So maybe somehow by sitting on me, he prevented me from collecting any more stats. Maybe I had to actually play him on the court, to collect stats? Because I couldn't attempt any shots, my FG% remained worse, and he won the matchup. Ha ha. That's hilarious. Defense wins championships. |

LOL! That gives new meaning to the word defense.
Actually, I think now I know how you sitting on me got into my head.
Several years ago, on a message board, someone posted a story of how they saw Scottie Pippen sitting on Mitch Richmond during a Bulls-Kings game. I think after the Bulls scored, Chicago was on defense. Richmond tripped or something, and Pippen sat on him to keep him from getting up. Both were laughing as it happened. The refs didn't call anything either.
The server where that post was made is gone, so I can't re-read it to see some of the details.
I guess that memory must have gotten into my head, along with recent fantasy sports talk about my struggles in fantasy leagues.
