Women's Draw:
Barty's Quarter:
Barty vs. Kvitova QF: Kvitova in 2.
Osaka's Quarter:
Venus vs. Gauff 1st round: Venus in 3.
Wozniacki vs. Serena 4th round: Wozniacki in 2.
Osaka vs. Venus 3rd round: Osaka in 2.
Osaka vs. Stephens 4th round: Osaka in 2.
Osaka vs. Wozniacki QF: Wozniacki in 3, just hoping.
Halep's Quarter:
Bencic is there, but I think Halep will get through.
Pliskova's Quarter:
Pliskova vs. Svitolina QF: Svitolina in 2.
Kvitova vs. Wozniacki SF: Wozniack in 3. (I know, I'm putting a lot of risk in Wozniacki)
Halep vs. Svitolina SF: Halep in 2.
Wozniacki vs. Halep Finals: Wozniacki in 2. (Might as well, at this point.)
Men's Draw:
Nadal's Quarter:
Nadal vs. Thiem QF: They've only met on hard courts once, and Nadal won in 5. Thiem has a good chance of winning. I'll pick Nadal in 5.
Medvedev's Quarter:
Isner vs. Wawrinka 3rd round: It would be nice if this was a long match. Wawrinka in 4.
Wawrinka vs. Alexander Zverev 4th round: Wawrinka in 4.
Medvedev vs. Wawrinka QF: Wawrinka in 5.
Federer's Quarter:
Federer to the SF.
Djokovic's Quarter:
Tsitsipas vs. Djokovic Quarter: I hope it's competitive. Djokovic might win easily, though.
Djokovic in 3.
Nadal vs. Wawrinnka SF: If Wawrinka is healthy, he has a chance. Have to go right Nadal for now, though.
Nadal in 4.
Federer vs. Djokovic SF: I have no idea. I guess I'll pick Federer, hope he beats Djokovic at a major at some point again.
Federer in 5.
Nadal vs. Federer Finals:
Again, hard to say. Federer never looks comfortable in this match.
Federer in 5.
I probably made a lot of bad picks, but oh well.

Gauff loses the break lead, then wins the first set in the tiebreak.

LOL. I'm famous for bad picks most of the time.
I'm happy Coco Gauff won her 2nd round match. I was going to be a little disappointed if she lost. Just because she's shown so much skill and fight, that at this point, I never believe she's out of a match.
So every match feels like an opportunity to win. So even a 2nd round loss would have felt like a lost opportunity.

Serena loses in the 3rd round to Wang in 3 sets. Wang looked good. Lots of upsets on the women's side already.

Sometimes I also make picks for fun, not accuracy.

Possibly. It's like a tennis match.

Since about 2012, I've felt that the Australian Open consistently has the best matches every year, across the two weeks.
I feel like they are either more competitive, or have more upsets.

Darn, the Osaka-Gauff match doesn't start for another 3+ hours. I was hoping it could start now, so I could watch the entire thing tonight.

It sucks that Andy Murray missed this tourney with an injury.
As someone that's made 5 Finals, I root for him to finally win this one.

I watched it on the DVR the next day.
Wow, Osaka could not make a shot after 3-3 in each set.
And kudos to Gauff for staying strong.
When she she got the break to start the 2nd set, and then quickly lost it, I thought she might lose the set. But she stayed tough.
Federer vs. Millman:
Long Federer matches have not been fun for me for a few years, because I keep thinking about missed chances, and if he'll get many more. Federer was terrible in break point conversion, as usual when he loses.
Down 8-4 in the 5th set super tiebreak, it looked over.
It's one of the top comebacks from near elimination in any sport that I've ever seen. And yes, I did watch the Nationals in this past year's MLB playoffs.
It reminded me of Pistons vs. Heat, game 7, 2005:
With 1:45 left in regulation, the Heat took a 78-79 lead. I thought the Heat then would go on to win the game, as there wasn't much time left.
But the Pistons came back and won.
I will watch Isner vs. Wawrinka after I go to sleep and wake up again.

I haven't seen Wawrinka volley like this in a while. Repeatedly in the 5th set.

Federer loses the 2nd set, and is down a break in the 3rd.
He looks terrible, by his standards.

Federer saves 5 set points but can't save the 6th.
It was just brick after brick from Federer. His usual clean shot making wasn't there.
Down 2 sets to 1 now.
