TT = .498 FT% and 6'9" @240 lb 8ppg 9rpg I don't know what people see in him. If we lose Dre we go sideways. Does BlueV deserve another year ? I think BlueV deserves another year...because we are stuck with him anyway. To save time I think you should just call him BV this year.

What about Reggie Jackson + Avery Bradley for Irving?
The Cavs should be thrilled with a 1 year rental in Bradley since they are in win right now mode.
If Reggie really is considered damaged goods, then it wouldn't work of course. Probably no way to prove otherwise in the short term.

If Kyrie goes down with an injury and you've traded BV and Bradley, you'd be screwed.

But we don't have Bradley long term. We have him as a one year rental.

They got Thomas? No wonder they didn't bite on the Reggie Jackson offer.
Pretty crazy that 2 rivals trade with each other while they are both trying to win won.

I think Cleveland got the better deal, all things considered. Not by much though.

In terms of the immediate future, I think Boston will be stacked. I think they won the deal. It will add some drama to the upcoming season. Marcus Morris will be in a great spot.

It may have become easier to beat Boston with all of their offseason moves, despite their assets.
I'm not saying Boston had a bad offseason.
But I just wouldn't have done the moves they did (trading down from # 1 and getting Tatum over Fulz; signing Hayward; trading away Isaiah).
Yes, Isaiah isn't great at defense. Neither is Irving.
It's like if each of those 3 moves I mentioned had a 50/50 chance of being good, I just would have been on the negative side of each of them.

Also, Irving will command a $200M+ contract too. But based on last year, Thomas was better than Irving. Let's see what Cleveland's defense looks like with Thomas.

I think the Cavs won the trade. IT was in the running for league MVP. And they got other pieces and a nice draft pick.
The Cavs were something like 3-13 with Irving playing and Lebron sitting.

Now there is some uncertainty about IT passing his physical. This deal could be voided.

I thought you were hi on Ky Ivr I am. But I'm higher on IT + Crowder + rookie + first round draft pick. Now CLE is trying to jack BOS further due to the physical. They know that IT is pissed and they traded Crowder on the same night as his Mom died of cancer. CLE senses that BOS can't possibly live with unwinding the trade now. Cold blooded.

The Celtics threw in a 2020 2nd round pick to finalize this trade.
