White Sox hire Tony LaRussa.
I like it.
Tigers hire A.J. Hinch.
I don't know if Gardenhire did anything to lose the job. But if they wanted to make a change, then Hinch is good.
Thoughts?

I like it. Some Tiger fans don't like Hinch since he's a cheater. Some say he let's the players run the show. You can't argue with the success he's had. LaRussa is like 100 years old. |

Maybe Hinch knew what was going on. Maybe he didn't. But he's not the one actually doing the cheating, like the players and the video coordinator.
The players seemed to like playing for him, so that's good.
For LaRussa, maybe what the game needs is a few 100 year olds, to balance out the 42 year old managers.

LaRussa has had a few bumps this year.
He got mad because his own player hit a HR off a position player pitching, on a 3-0 count. The player that hit the HR was Yermin Mercedes.
LaRussa said you should never swing when a position player pitches, especially on a 3-0 count.
Mercedes has recently been released from the team. Mercedes now said on Instagram that he's quitting MLB.
However, I still want things to work out for LaRussa.

Only 28th player in history to reach that milestone.
No one in the current era is really on pace to achieve that.
Nelson Cruz has 443, but he is 40 years old.
Giancarlo Stanton is currently at 332, he is 30 years old.
Joey Votto is at 323, 37 years old.
Mike Trout has 310 at 29 years old.
