13 games below .500 No,No,No,No,No ! It's been over for a while now. It's time to play more youngsters and look more into the future.

Another stellar night for the Tigers and Matthew Boyd. Team ERA of 5.04 continues to inch upward.

Anyone catch the Tigers game today? Great warm-up for the fight this weekend.

Yeah, not our best moment. Miggy threw the first punch and caught all air and then lost to a wrestler who happened to be Andrew Romine's brother. Castellanos came out in his defense, got gang tackled and then punched several times. VMart joked around with the Yankees afterward and then went back to the dugout to get into verbal fights with his teammates. Ausmus was quoted as saying that he was glad that he was physically protected out there, because otherwise he believes that he would have been punched into the first row.

Glad at least the Tigers got the "W." I always laugh when I see the bullpen guys running full tilt. Imagine one of them pulling a hammy on the way in? Best fight moment ever? Rozema's Kung Fu kick. I feel that moment was so epic that it deserves a statue out there in the outfield along with Cobb, Kaline, Horton, etc.

The nickname thing this weekend is pretty fun.
They should make it 2-4 weeks so you can see the names from different teams.

With Upton now gone, it's construction time again. I just hope they don't sink to 2003 standards.

Glad he pitched well enough lately to draw interest. Need to deal Miggy and Victor in the offseason, even if it means that we have to eat half their salaries until they are in their mid 40's. What terrible contracts we have.

What terrible contracts we have. Nobody will take on those two contracts. Hopefully, Victor will be released in the near future. He only has one year left on his deal. We are stuck with Miggy for a long time at a huge price. We need him to get better.

I don't know if you can sign a great player without giving him a long huge contract. If you don't show the money the agent will get it elsewhere.

I don't know if you can sign a great player without giving him a long huge contract. If you don't show the money the agent will get it elsewhere. Mr. Ilitch didn't care about the final years of these long huge contracts. He was in win-now mode and it left the organization in a big mess.

well it's been a while since we won a playoff game but lets do it again I want a rich expensive team Next summer (2018) is going to be very painful as we trot out a bunch of youngsters. If guys progress quickly, perhaps the Tigers spend 2019. Detroit won't be spending this winter like they did back in the Ilitch run, though.

Boom and bust is how you have to do it. Look at the Cubs and the Astros. They tanked hard and rebuild from the ground up. Only spring for FAs when you are entering your window.
I understand why we are generally in this situation and why Ilitch acted as he did. He gambled and lost and we were all entertained in the process. It was a very nice run.

what took the Cubs sooo long to get it right ? I remember they had a great pitcher but he ripped his arm and that seemed to set them back
