Where do you think the Lions currently rank headed into the 2017 season? It ranks the teams based on the amount of pain that the fans endure. The Lions obviously rank high in this one. Middle of the pack seems about right for them. NFL comes down to injuries and depth. Since the Lions finally have a front office now, you have to be excited about their chances. It finally seems like this franchise WANTS to win. It's easy to get complacent in the Niffle since their is so much revenue-sharing. Teams make money even whey they suck.

During mock game the backup LT's gave up 3 sacks.
Decker isn't expected back until Oct.

Looking at the Lions schedule they could start out 0-8. Then if they don't implode they could go 7-1 (or 8-0) the remainder. Well, who knows? That's why they play the games. So that we eventually DO know.

Also, I believe that in the 0-16 season, they were undefeated in the pre-season.
If they ever get to the Superbowl and are leading in the 4th quarter, I will allow my hopes to get up.

If they ever make it to ONE playoff game with more than a 7 point lead in the 4th quarter my allow my hopes to be up that they will win their SECOND frigging playoff game in my freaking 58 years on this earth. Hell, even the Eagles couldn't win a playoff game...if they even got there.I've given up. I will try my best to enjoy each game and that is all. Prolly won't be many and easie said than done. Having a decent fantasy team is usually the only enjoyment I can hope for. Fuck the NFL. That is for the blessed in New England (lobsters too), Pittsburgh and Green Bay. Well, Cleveland and the Cubs finally got to the promised land. Maybe Brady will take a flying pig to Detroit metro and play a season for the Lions. |

7.5 for me seems perfect.
7-8-1 and the season comes down to a zebra's call.
But I will take the under. The early schedule is not friendly. If they could somehow slide into the playoffs that would be a big accomplishment, IMO. My personal goal is to become more familiar with this team (been AWOL for a while and to enjoy the season by taking one game at a time. While it is impossible to ignore the playoff picture I plan to monitor it and not blow it out of proportion in my own mind.
I am serious when I say they could lose their first 8 games and if they remain healthy and don't give up win their remaining 8. IF they can just start out at 3-5 they can make things happen from there. I don't see 3 winnable games though.
