Elimination games should NEVER be decided by a shootout. Noooo! I was listening to sports talk radio about a proposed MLB rule change, and they randomly slipped in an analogy of the Womens gold medal game, including the result. I was going to watch that streaming tonight. |

Elimination games should NEVER be decided by a shootout. Agreed. But both teams played by the same rules and knew them beforehand. Except when the ref stood there and watched and swallowed his whistle when there was a loose puck in front of the Canadian net and the Canadian took a head shot and tackled the USA player. It isn’t right to take away what the women accomplished. Both sides didn’t like the rules. Too bad. Change it. The USA mens team lost the same way the women won. I heard much more about THIS. Canada feels entitled to the gold. They would’ve found something to cry about anyhow. Nobody seemed to care abiut the rule BEFORE these games. NOW they will work to change it. The NHL uses it (at least for the regular season). Doesn’t soccer use it too (not sure). It sucks. So change it. I didn’t whine about the men and I feel great about the women. The rules need to change. Like any sport. |

I just got done watching the women's biathlon relay. It was kind of cool. Watching the women's free skate now.

The women’s free skate is always good This one had a dramatic end as expected with two fantastic skaters. The snowboarding was actually good. Gotta watch the USA’s O T and shootout with Canada. I was rooting for the French girl in skating because I felt bad for her when her top fell down and later the internet called it “the nip slip”. She handled it well skating and afterward . They zoomed in and did slow motion. Assholes. I just pretty much watch what is on. Two S. Korean girls tried to humiliate a third and she cried. The S. Koreans want them booted from the Olympics. Got a petition with over 400,000 signatures already. Catty Bitches. Elimination games should NEVER be decided by a shootout. Team Canada was crying hard. It's rare that I see so many athletes cry after an elimination game. Good to see that it meant that much to them. |

I feel really bad for that N Korean girl caught accidentally clapping for the USA. Hope they don’t send her and her family to a concentration camp.
In 1966 a N Korean soccer team scored a huge upset by beating someone 3-0 or something. They got blown out next game. They expected a parade. Nope. Arrested when they got off the plane and off to a concentration camp.
Nobody wants to represent them. They are picked up from elementary schools and forced to train. No sandbagging. Dont have a good practice you don’t eat that day.
N Korea got zero medals. Wouldnt be surprised if they all get publicly humiliated for 6 hours and made to renounce their coach or much worse.

The NBC Olympics website is so annoying. I can't turn off alerts. I click on the bell icon, it takes me to preferences. I check the box to unsubscribe from alerts.
