I like the Winter Olympics more than the Summer.
The way I see it:
Speed Skating = Summer Olympics Running but faster.
Figure Skating = Summer Olympics Gymnastics but faster.
Bobsledding: FAST.
Opening Ceremonies are tonight.

I watched some mixed doubles curling last night. This brother/sister team from Wisconsin choked vs the South Koreans. The Olympic pressure was too much to handle.

Opening Ceremonies are tonight. Funny. I described it the same way to a couple people except I threw in basketball vs. hockey. I really don’t have a preference though. I think I enjoy the figure skating the most. The males crack me up. Especially Johnny Weir coming out in ostrich feathers or flamboyant womens skating suits. . Girls makeup. Talk about coming out of the closet. He blew the door down. (Poor word choice that). But he was great. He could laugh at himself. He will be announcing this year. I’ll never forget reality skating with Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan. The attack and Tonyas broken lace. I still cannot believe they let her do it over. |

Was that the "Heat" round? Is there now an upcoming gold medal round? It's weird that they have events before the Opening Ceremonies. I get that they always try to have the Opening Ceremonies on a Friday, and Closing Ceremonies on a Sunday. But they should still find a way to schedule everything in between those two events. |

Skating announcers are heartless:
A1: That will cost her big time
A2: Yes that was really stupid
A1Her parents must be embarrassed
A2 can you blame them?
A1 No. How did she get in the Olympics anyhow?
A2 Must not have been much competition this year
Also, I rarely can tell the difference other than they all but announce what place they will come in before the event begins (unless they fall).
My favorite athlete so far is that upbeat speed skater with the infectious smile. Maame or something. She is the only one I’m really rooting for. She isn’t making everything into a social platform likw Simone Bile. Just a great kid happy to be there. Her dad is cool too. Remember Michael Phelps mother? I hated that attention seeking bitch.
North Korea didn’t pay a penny but S. Korea were schmucks to combine teams. Serves them right. NBC is making me ill with this feel good malarkey. If those girls talk to anyone they will go to those prison concentration camps like those dozen pretty girls in the last Olympics. Just kids and they are getting raped and beaten. If someone screws up, their grandchildren get born in those. I’m all for America first but what person can allow this to happen? Mike Tirico is doing a good job but I think nbc is forcing him to play feel good stuff. Kims sister clapped for nobody but tbe Koreans during opening ceremonies.
I really didn’t think that opening ceremony was that great.
