Great run by our men's curling team. It still seems funny to me that the curlers look like the old, drunk guys in the local bowling league....and not your typical elite athletes.

That’s how I viewed them too. Curling, women’s hockey, women’s cross country, Lyndsey Vonn winning nothing more than a bronze, Maame Biney (her joy. It’s ok she lost but not ok someone intentionally bumped her), the snowboarding actually was semi entertaining, combo skiing, Shiffrin. My favorite USA things. The ladies saved us. Am I forgetting something? Loved watching those two Russian skaters compete. Wow. Bobsledding. How is it possible so many come down to hundredths of a second?? Happy the German duo dance team one but overall the Germans pissed me off for different reasons. . Individual Skating to music from Scindlers List. Are you kidding me? I used to root for Canada but that Moir skating pair and other Canadians were assholes was pissed they beat the french pair by a point. Hated attention on the N. Korean cheerleaders. I hope Kim was charged for those seats.,My friends went to the Utah one. Tickets are really expensive to some events and there is a lottery to get in. |

Yeah, it's so funny that bobsledding has ties coming down to the .01 second sometime. I liked Snowboard Cross. Why don't you like Vonn? I was about to say that I think the music pre-dates Schlinder's List, it's just that the movie made it famous. But then I see in this article that it was an Original Score for the movie. I want to see this performance by Schott to see what I think. |

A lot of pitchers don't look like athletes either. Trevor Cahill; Bartolo Colon; Prince Fielder. Those Curlers were actually only in their upper 20s / late 30s. I still have to read how curling is scored, because I didn't quite understand everything. I've watched it in past years, but given how the gold medal game played out, I realized I need to understand a few more things. |
