Darth , you've said you root for underdogs. Is there any player or team though that has won, or wins a lot, that you think is humble, and thus also someone you'd root for? My favorite Detroit athletes were always humble: Barry Sanders Steve Yzerman Lou Whitaker Joe Dumars
How can Lou Piniella and Lou Whitaker have the same "Sweet Lou" nickname? (I need to add a emoticon).
Do you have a favorite Tigers pitcher?

I hate it when you correct me. I like it better when you ignore me. Which you always do unless to correct me. It’s a real paradox. 10 to 1 odds Bill asks what a pair of ducks has to do wirh this. Any takers?

Howe 69% Cobb 31% However, I was the 13th voter Soooo... that’s like .000001 of the vote. Not exactly an insurmountable lead! I voted Gordie.

How is what possible? I roundedoff the percentages.Who jwas winning when you voted,? Are you sure Lou was humble? Perhaps, but I read the reason writers are screwing him is because of how he treated them.

Yea, Sweet Lou was never overly affectionate with the media.

But D is hockey town so thefe you have it. I wonder what order Detroit’s loves are? Growing up I thought Tigers, Lions, Wings, Pistons. Now I think Lions, Wings, Pistons, Tigers. I’m probably wrong. Dunno if there’s av way to measure it. Maybe there is?

I was gone for 14 years so you’ve likely got a clearer perspective. But it seems like when I was a kid/teen that is what I always thought. With the success rates changing over time I was sure it changed. Also changes in the status of leagues.

Who beat out Yzerman ? and it's always been Wings, Tigers, then best team at the time. Pistons or Lions overtake Tigers if they are P/O quality.

I think a good argument can be made for any team but the Pistons at the top fwo spots. I cant remember who but I think he got knocked out in the elite 8? Know it all Laimbeer could tell us. My guess is Zeke beat him.
