Yikes! Maybe Iwas correct earlier. Word is that if MSU doesn’t go to the Citrus M will leapfrog them and get the Outback dropping S to the holiday. That sucks. M is reported to be “a lock” for the Outback. where you reading that ?

M is reported to be “a lock” for the Outback. where you reading that ? It’s all over the internet including on the Detroit News. Just google “Michigan a lock for the Outback and lots will pop up. Apparently they are saying the Outback wants Michigan for sure. So S is fucked unless W beats O (and will put them in the playoffs for sure) OR O beats W AND squeezes into the playoffs. Anyone here think W beats O? Doubt it and O may be one spot out of the playoffs which means when S gets leap frogged by M for the NYD Outback it drops S to the Holiday on Dec. 28th. A good Bowl but they deserve a Jan one Bowl but of course 8-4 M gets it. I predicted that ages ago but the press made me rethink it. Bummer.

IF, M leapfrogs S to the richer bowl, I will send you flowers ! But the lesser point is BIG is putting more teams in richer bowls=better for the conference.

So it looks like a NYD Bowl Outback or Citrus? LSU, Miss St, or S.C. ? MSU always seems to get the toughest matchups. My guess: Outback and LSU. The one team of the 3 I think S can’t beat. I guess M probably won’t jump S but should jump NW. Holiday and Stanford Great irony! It’s incredible that S is in this position. I'd guess Citrus vs South Carolina

The CFP semifinals will be played January 1. The first semifinal game will take place in the Rose Bowl, and it will feature the No. 2 and 3 teams in the rankings. The second semifinal game will take place at the Sugar Bowl between the No. 1 and 4 teams * That will set up a national championship game between the Badgers and the Crimson Tide. Alabama is the best team in the nation, and the Crimson Tide will roll to a big win and put an end to Wisconsin's undefeated ways * wikiurls.com/?http://www.statisticbrain.com/college-bowl-game-payouts/

Under that scenario Michigan State will get leapfrogged by Michigan for the outback bowl. I will send you my address so you can know where to address the flowers to. A mixed bouquet would be nice. If Ohio State wins, the only way Michigan State goes to the citrus bowl is if Ohio State ends up in the top four. Otherwise osu goes to the Orange bowl and that means there is no citrus bowl for the Big Ten. That means the outback is the highest game and they want Michigan According to some guy who is supposed to be in the know. Harbaugh end Michigan will get more viewers and they perhaps travel a little better. It’s all about money.

That sounds perfect. Maybe at some baby breaths. I agree and Ohio State. If Wisconsin does not win Michigan State is screwed. Nothing wrong with the holiday bowl but when you could’ve played New Year’s Day and the team with fewer wins that you beat gets in you can’t help but feel crunchy. Oh well, the coach will use it as motivation next year to beat Michigan. That game means more to me than any bowl game. But you will hear me whining when it actually happens. Seriously, I made a half assed effort to get ready for our match. Just knock me out and I will be done setting my lineup because nobody cares about cancellation so I won’t be hurting anyone by quitting. If I win I have to play another week. All kidding aside, the teams I’ve been playing have Scored quite a bit. I have a couple receivers either suspended or hurt so you should have no problems.. I cannot help but root for my team but deep down I will be glad if you beat me. You may not believe it but I’ve been rooting for your team all year and like how you won a lot of games in the end. It would suck if you got denied.

Darth is a 73% favorite over TFD. Jimmy Graham's bum ankle could be TFD's downfall. The only thing that matters are actual points. When I’m down a lot of points with a high projection remaining I rarely get them. This has been my most exasperating season ever. I feel obligated to “try” but I quit caring for the most part 4 games ago...and my caring level wasn’t all that high prior to that. I am considering pulling my guys before Sunday. In all likelihood It won’t affect anyone else which of us make the playoffs, unless Thee would mind getting a bye. On the other hand he’won’t need the help. I would say as of this moment there is a 33% chance of me throwing in the towel. On Wednesday I would say I was considering it but only vaguely. I just wanna be done but even if I win I won’t last a week so I can be done anyhow. But there is that spark of competitiveness and as of tonight there is an extremely low probability of my playing fantasy sports again. The grief far surpasses the fun these days. I think to be successful (at least for me) it requires putting in more time than I’m willing to spend most days/weeks.

You may be able to save on the flowers, Thee. It looks like a lot of experts are back to predicting MSU getting into the Citrus anyhow because word is they are the B1G team they want AND they want them over Notre Dame. This allows S to leapfrog ND a few spots even though ND is a brand name. The B1G still must avoid the Orange and I’m not sure if team of choice means > P should they fall. So it isn’t a lock although the chances are pretty good. M seems to be almost a lock, regardless.Unless P makes a NY6. Anyhow, it isn’t that M would not have jumped M it just means if things go right for S it won’t be necessary. So I was still right that it WOULD have happened. But I will settle for a box of R Stover candy which will save you $50 or so. My address is Planet Mustafar 13 Palace Lane Star Wars Universe starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Vader%27s_Palace

MSU is screwed and goes to the Holiday unless:
1. OSU goes to CFP (over Bama) and P goes to any NYD other than Orange
2.P Misses NYD 6 and Citrus included all other BIG teams when they saiid S was their 1st choice
3 Outback (not M) doesn’t screws S over for M. Can’t blam M for it. ———— 3. Is remote
2 is unlikely on both counts.
1. Is 50/50 but comitte must screw one power. I think they screw O over A
Note: under scenario 2: I didn’t read this but if Citrus screws 10 win P over 9 win M then Outback cannot screwv10 win P over 8 win M due to 2 gane differential.
M would go to Holiday . S cant refuse a bowl because players willvwant to go to California and for future recruiting. But I read somewhere that the big ten is the only conference to choose where teams go. Does that mean veto power? If so S could screw big by refusing any bowl when Outback screws them anfld big allows it. But can BIG really decide? Or were the 2 articles mistaken?
Anyhow S is likely F’d.

I was listening to the radio, but the Jonas Knox show.
He said:
1) He doesn't want an 8 team format, because it's better for sports talk radio to have a 4 team format and to then have the ensuing discussion about whether the right teams made it.
2) He said the 4 best teams were Oklahoma, Alabama, Ohio State, and Iowa State.
He's said all year that he thought the Big 10 was better than the SEC this year.
I guess Iowa State and Oklahoma are in the Big 12, though.

[ I wondered why we were talking about Iowa State in the MSU Thread. Then I remembered that they are the team MSU is slotted to be playing when they send them to the Liberty Bowl. At least the December 30th date is closer to New Years Day than certain other Bowls they could have randomly sent us to. I guess Sparty screwed up by beating teams that were ranked and other teams with winning records. Won one to many games also. Well, I called this weeks ago. Then I had hope reading the “expert” prognostications. Like I said I was going to be pissed anyhow. I guess the Outback people figured they saw an almost empty Spartan stadium when they visited so decided our fans weren’t loyal. Yeah, well they were sitting in a warm press box when everyone else was sitting in the stands with freezing rain coming down on their heads. Whatever. I get the brand name money thing. If I wasn’t a Sparty and ran the Outback I would pick Michigan too for $$ reasons. M fans are happy to be therecand I don’t blame them. But they know they are there for promotional reasons and I haven’t heard a single one claim otherwise. I don’t take it as a personal slight to Sparty. Anyone other than OSU would be screwed and even they got screwed by a bigger brand name. Well, Dantonio is putting the proper spin on it before the players get to caught up in the disappointment. On to the Liberty Bowl... or whatever

Good call, Darth, on the Outback Bowl. We will call you Wiggles Jr. from now on. You also predicted TFD would win in fantasy, though. That's like predicting the Lions will win a meaningful game. It's not going to happen.

So whom got the better bowl ? Depends on how you look at it. IMO the Outback Bowl downgraded itself picking two unranked teams. The Holiday Bowl got two teams (#16 & 18) that match up very well. Plus, San Diego is a really cool city...much better than Tampa.
